Blogger Spamming

So far I have only seen "comment spamming" in blogs. But yesterday night, after posting a couple of articles I saw something new to me on my referrals.

Blogger is hosting blogs like dcl1, fantasyfootballcontests, 1replicarolexwatches (I removed the links to avoid increasing their pagerank), that are filled with random crap. Well, I know most other blogs are ;).

Wow, how can something like this get unnoticed?

  • I must be missing something with the whole pagerank thing. I mean, if I go after a keyword, and I get it to the top position in the search engines, why should I care at all about the pr that is going to show in the google bar. It shouldn't matter at all, to anyone. After all, the whole point is to grab those top positions, and you can do that just fine without having high google pr.

  • To the real people here(like thebluenibble). I got tired of comment spamming today but was happy to see that word verification has been implemented on blogger. Hopefully, this will be the end of spam for now.
